The Plan

This block is fully colonized and ready to fruit.

For antler formation, do not open the bag.

Reishi forms antlers in high CO₂ environments. Keeping the bag sealed encourages tall, branching, deer antler like growth.

Place the block somewhere:

• Room temperature
• Out of direct sunlight
• With indirect light
• On a tray to protect surfaces

Within days you should see white tipped antlers forming and reaching upward.

No cutting.
No misting.
Minimal intervention.

Let it grow.

Want Conk Formation Instead

If you want the classic shelf or conk shape, wait until the antlers are established.

Then cut the top of the bag open, leaving a few inches of plastic above the block.

Increased fresh air will trigger the antlers to fan out and form the traditional conk shape.

At this stage, you can lightly mist the exposed surface if your home is very dry.

Reishi prefers room temperature and indirect light. Avoid direct sun.

Harvest

Harvest when the white growing edge slows and the outer surface becomes glossy and deep reddish brown.

You can cut at the base with a knife.

After harvest, you can:

• Let the block rest
• Soak for a few hours if it feels light
• Reseal loosely and attempt another flush

When finished, plant the block in a shady mulch bed, barely covering the top. With the right outdoor conditions, it may fruit again.
