We know how frustrating it is to receive Cordyceps liquid culture that grows slowly, contaminates easily, or never fruits. Cordyceps militaris requires a clean, vigorous culture to perform properly, and weak genetics can cost months of time. Our commitment is to provide production tested liquid culture that is clean, aggressive, and proven on our own farm.
Our Cordyceps militaris liquid culture is made using Appalachian spring water and our farm’s raw honey. Every syringe is prepared fresh to order, and we only release cultures that show strong, consistent growth. This ensures your culture arrives active, viable, and ready for reliable colonization.
This is an Appalachian wild isolate of Cordyceps militaris originally sourced from our local mountain region between the Blue Ridge and Appalachian Mountains. It has been stabilized and maintained through repeated cultivation and production cycles on our commercial farm in Southwest Virginia. We select only the fastest colonizing and most reliable fruiting cultures for release.
Each syringe contains 10 ml of liquid culture, which is enough to inoculate multiple grain jars or Cordyceps fruiting containers. Using more liquid culture can speed colonization within reason and with proper sterile technique.
We expand ours into bulk LC (1/2 gallon jars) and go straight to rice with it, skipping spawn. If you want to know more about our farming methods checkout our YouTube.

Cordyceps militaris is known for its rapid colonization on rice and grain substrates and its ability to produce dense clusters of bright orange fruiting bodies. This strain has demonstrated fast colonization, strong recovery after inoculation, and consistent fruiting performance in our production system. Under proper conditions, you can expect full colonization in a few weeks followed by fruiting shortly after.
Cordyceps militaris is valued for its unique appearance, resilience, and long history of traditional use. This Appalachian wild isolate has been selected for vigor, reliability, and suitability for both small scale and commercial cultivation.
All cultures are produced, maintained, and tested on our farm in Southwest Virginia. We stand behind their cleanliness, viability, and performance.
